Music Room Reflections presents 'Escapades in 18th Century Aural Experiences'
Sunday October 17th, 2pm - 4pm
Come and Enjoy Classical and Traditional music performed by Desmond Earley (harpsichord), Eoin Dillon from Kila (uilleann pipes), Desmond Cahalan (guitar), Daire Bracken and Steve Larkin (fiddles) with music specially chosen from the Castletown Manuscript in The Long Gallery, Castletown House.
The Castletown Manuscript is a music notebook inscribed 'Castletown 1815', it is a collection of dance music, both classical and traditional, including waltzes by Mozart and the Duke of Leinster's Sarabande. This notebook was probably compiled by one of Lady Louisa's young nieces living in the house at that time.
Italian wine generously supplied by Bianconi's Restaurant, Merrion Road, D4.
Tickets €15 and €12 for students available from 086 274 6153 and from http://www.musicroomreflections.com/
We regret that there is currently no access to the Long Gallery for wheelchair users.
See the Castletown House website for more details!
