The Youth Cafe:

Objectives:
The Youth sub-committee shall work to provide Youth Facilities at The Mill Complex, such as the recently opened Youth Cafe. It shall involve young persons in Celbridge to the greatest extent possible. It shall liaise with Celbridge Community Centre Ltd. and with all relevant State, County and Local Youth Organisations.

Objectives:
To investigate the possibility of Heritage Town Status for Celbridge.
To pursue the preparation of a Heritage/Conversation Area Action Plan for Celbridge.
To liaise with similar groups in the Celbridge Area.

Objectives:
The Fund Raising subcommittee shall identify sources of revenue for Celbridge Community Council.
It shall bring forward a suitable calendar of events to the Council for approval by the Community Council.
It shall prepare a written Income and Expense Account and submit same to the Executive Committee within 3 weeks of each event. All funds must be lodged by the Treasurers of the Council as soon as possible. Where necessary the A.I.B. night safe must be used. |

To develop and maintain the Celbridge Community Council website.
To promote the activities of Celbridge Community Council.

Objectives:
The Planning and Development shall endeavour to identify all planning applications for the Celbridge Area.
The sub-committee shall examine all relevant planning applications and report on same to the Executive Committee.
It will continue to support and encourage improvements to the built environment in Celbridge.
The sub-committee shall prepare observations for Kildare County Council and/or An Bord pleanala and submit same to the Executive Committee.
Where possible the Community Council shall approve all observations/submissions.
All observations/submissions on planning applications must be signed by the Secretary of the Community Council.
The sub-committee may prepare observations on Public Services/ Utilities in the Celbridge area and submit same to the Community Council. |

Care for the Aged:

Objectives:
The Care for Aged sub-committee shall administer the personal alarm scheme.
It shall arrange the distribution of fuel, from November to April each year, to persons in receipt of the Old Age Pension.
It shall distribute gift parcels to the above at Christmas and Easter.

Terms of Reference for the Sub - committees
Each subcommittee shall meet a minimum of 4 times a year.
Each subcommittee shall appoint a chairperson and a secretary.
The chairperson of each subcommittee shall submit a formal report to each monthly meeting of the Council. In the absence of the chairperson the secretary may submit the report.
The members of the Executive Committee of the Council shall be ex officio members of all subcommittees.
The Secretary of the Council shall receive notification of all meetings by text with a minimum of 2 days notice.
Correspondence with external bodies shall be signed by the Chairperson of the subcommittee and the Secretary of the Community Council. In the event of the Secretary being unavailable, the Chairperson of the Council may sign.
Proposed press releases from each subcommittee must be submitted to the Executive subcommittee for approval prior to publication.
